I experience that I blog less than I used to, which I regret.
ASPECTS OF LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCES
- In August 2008 Martie encouraged me to start a blog on my expertise and views regarding experiential learning. It has been an interesting and worthwhile journey to date. My current working life is devoted to this area.
- I obtained a DPhil on '9/11' 2003, in Leadership in Performance and Change. My dissertation is titled "the contribution of cooperative education in growing talent"—two areas that I am passionate about. I use the learning in vivo blog to capture my own body of knowledge. My doctorate also included a consulting intervention on "the role of people in document management in an organisation", which drawn from Martie's experience and dovetailed with the notion of a learning organisation.
- An article based on the qualitative research design of my dissertation had been published in the International Journal of Qualitative Methods (IJQM). The journal published a special issue featuring updates on the top 20 papers (a combination of most downloaded and/or most cited) from the past 20 years" and my paper had been selected for inclusion. I submitted a reflection on the original paper: 'Reflection/Commentary on a Past Article: A Phenomenological Research Design Illustrated' - https://doi.org/10.1177/1609406918774662
In addition to this, several others blogs are currently 'on hold' (dormant). However, I have been inspired for quite a while to blog about my experiences of becoming a 'runner'. Visit Run/Walk your physique for a growing selection of posts.
